Here is my dilemma. I want a PDA. I want an MP3 player. I don't want to buy both.

I am comparing the HP rx1955 vs the Palm TX and both seem pretty reasonable. My hangup with them seems to be the fact that I will be limited to a 2GB SD card. Does anyone have any other suggestions that will get me a good wireless capable PDA that can play audio (maybe video too I guess) without breaking the bank?

Sam: I don't want an IPOD because as far as I know they don't do PDA type tasks. That answer doesn't help me in the least.

Couldn't choose which answer from the last five was best. I will go with the Palm TX mainly because I don't need the video but they were all good points.

I would suggest getting an Archos....I have an Archos AV500...the thing is the bomb...it will project video to youre TV...it will act like a DVR...they come in 30 60 and 100GB...you can also hook youre camera, or a portable hard drive to it and bam you have even more memory...it can emulate music through the speakers of youre car...it will run fifteen hours before youre battery dies...plus it also acts like a portable hard drive bc you can save files to it...plus it has a remote...Im tellin ya man...check that out before you go the silly IPOD route...good luck

You should buy the Palm TX its a pretty nice one... I have a palm zire 71 and a HP ipaq hr3115 and let me tell you windows mobile is a lot more difficult to use than palm OS... palm OS you can control almost every PDA task with your thumb ;) anyways.. you should go to best buy or something like that ask a salesman and.. why not give them a go right there

anyways I recommend the TX, windows mobile has so much similarities with windows even the bad ones... beware

I would look at the Palm Tungsten T/X or the Palm LifeDrive as great PDAs and mp3 player (as well as DVD players -- you need a special software to do that)

As for the SD limitation, that is not accurate. There are 4 GB SD card now, and there will be larger size down the road.

The Palm Lifedrive has 4GB onboard so is a good PDA with plenty of space to store MP3's.

Palm T|X.

Comes with a decent amount of RAM, and CPU (for PALM O/S). Can play MP3's, takes and SD card (expandable memory is always good), and is both Bluetooth (for syncing), and WIFi (to pick up your email from hotspots). And the current price is great.

The deal breaker for the HP unit is that it's running MS pocket PC. Nuff said. Dunno how stable the MS crap is, but Palm O/S doesn't crash unless you're doing something wrong. (I've owned a Sony Clie for the last 3.5 years, running Palm O/S 4.1, and it has never crashed)

The T|X sounds like it fits the bill to me. Go for it. :)
