There are actually quite a few plants that have leaves that are 'heart shaped'. You don't say if it is a 'stand up tall' plant or more of a vine 'on top of the table' kind of plant. But, just guessing, it sounds like you might have a plant called 'pothos' plant or Devils Ivy.
This doesn't like direct lighting and should be checked for watering once a week. Don't over water. Easy to grow and keep. (Believe me...they don't call me Mrs. Brown Thumb for nothing) Clip the vines when they get too long and enjoy. Check the web under the name and see the photos. Hope this helps.

ITS PROBABLY A TYPE OF RHODODENDRON...NEEDS LIGHT DOESNT HAVE TO BE SUNSHINE BUT BRIGHT LIKE FOURESCENT....DONT WATER UNLESS TOP SOIL IS DRY PICK OFF THE YELLOWED LEAVES....JUST GIVE WATER WITH MIRACLE GRO ABOUT EVERY TWO WEEKS AND PLAIN WATER ABOUT EVERY THREE DAYS...DONT OVERSOAK.... THIS IS THE EASIEST OF HOUSE PLANTS IF YOU DONT OVERWATER.

You will need to provide more of a description than what you have or else it is going to be a crap shoot.
