During the day, the sky is blue because of the sunlight reflecting from the Earth's waters. At night, without the reflected light of the sun, you can see the blackness of space. Space has virtually nothing in it to refelct light so all you can see is the blackness, except for the stars and the moon.

it is because of scttering of white light from sun it was proved by "lord raylieh" for reference take help of any 12th matric text book lesson 5 during night there is no light from sun so it seem black
