Was the lady with the vasoline paid off by Bush? Was the 25+ Muslims that were conspiring in Britain, paid off by Bush?

Or are the leftists some of the biggest dumbasses you've ever seen in your life?

I guess for them, the following didn't happen:
- USS Cole bombing
- Hezbollah Marine Barracks & French Paratrooper bombings(1983)
-Khobar Towers
-First World Trade Center attack
-US embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya(1998 - 200 Killed,4000 Wounded)

Nothing to see, just move along....at least according to many on the left side of the spectrum. Hope Pam likes wearing a burqua.

I don't think that anyone ever believed that there was NO terror threat, I think that is stupid. I do think that many believe that Bush used the war on terror to go to places where terror was not Present... Such as Iraq. Note that the terrorist that were picked up had roots in Pakistan, which is the same place where many of the 9-11 terrorist trained and the site where Bin Laden is sopposedly hiding.

However, Bush used the terror threat to go after Hussein in a time where Hussein and Al-qaida did not even get along... as a result, we have an unstable Iraq, we still have the problems with the REAL terrorist in Pakistan and Al-Qaida now has a foot-hold in Iraq that it did not have before.

Democrats believe in a terrror threat -- they just believe Bush is worst that any terrorist out there.

Democrats believe in a terror threat -- they just think that a little diplomacy would make it all better.

Democrats believe in a terror threat -- they just think that the United Nations would be better at managing it.

Democrats believe in a terror threat -- they just don't think it existed before Bush's presidency.

Democrats are just a little naive.

You need to wake up to the terror threat ! Bush is the problem , it is called cause and effect !!!! The latest terrorist plot involving airplanes flying from London to the U.S. provides clear evidence that the threat from terrorism is growing. Since our invasion of Iraq, we have seen an appalling rise in terrorist attacks around the world. The sad fact is that the so-called “war on terrorism” is failing and that terrorism is spreading like a cancer and posing more and more danger for us.

The truth is that none of our thousands of nuclear weapons can protect us from these threats. No missile defense system, no matter how sophisticated, no matter how many trillions of dollars are poured into it, can protect us from a nuclear weapon delivered in a ship or a suitcase.

Not one weapon in our vast arsenal, not a penny of the $450 billion a year we spend on so-called defense can defend against a terrorist bomb. That is a military fact.

If military force cannot defend us from terrorism, the obvious question is, "Then what can we do?" Is there nothing we can do to provide security for our people?"

There is. But to understand how requires that we know the truth about the threat. President Bush has said that we are a target for terrorists because we stand for democracy and freedom in the world. Nonsense!

We are the target of terrorists because, in much of the world, our government stands for military power used in the service of corporate power. We are the target of terrorists because we are hated. And we are hated because our government has done hateful things. This is a basic truth that Americans must understand, like it or not. We are hated because our government supports regimes that deny these very things to people in countries whose resources are coveted by our multi-national corporations. We are hated because we are seen as the world's military bully and the hatred we have sown has come back to haunt us in the form of terrorism.

Once the truth about why the threat exists is understood, the solution becomes obvious. We must change our ways. The root of terrorism is despair and hopelessness. If the U.S. became the biggest supplier of hope in the world instead of the world's biggest arms supplier, the wellsprings of terrorism would soon dry up and disappear. Instead of selling death, our nation could become the biggest provider of life in the world. Instead of sending our sons and daughters around the world to kill and be killed, we should be helping poorer nations to rebuild their infrastructure, supply clean water, feed starving people and provide medicine and health care. Just imagine what we could do for the world if we cut our military budget in half and used those hundreds of billions of dollars for humanitarian work that would give people real hope for their future.

In short, we should do good instead of evil. If we replaced smart bombs with smart policies designed to help people, who would try to stop us? Who would hate us? Who would want to bomb us? The truth is that if we want to stop terrorism, we must work to stop our government from pursuing policies that create the conditions for the growth of terrorism! BUSH IS THE PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO GO, Just like this guy who posted this question who does not have a clue about what is going on in the world !

Are we safer under Bush or are we supposed to be scared? Are we supposed to give up our freedoms to be safe, or do we rely on the Brits to save us and then say that it's our policies that make us safe?
Couldn't good intelligence and more secure ports and borders be enough? Or do we have to grant the government access to everything we do at any given moment of the day?

There is still a threat, yes. Thus, the war on terror hasn't worked. And it never will. We will be safer - safest - when Bush is out of office.

I think the lady with the Vaseline was paid off by Moore and Soros (sp?), actually.
They seem to hate America as much as the terrorists do.

Before last week, my wife was able to take her vaseline for lip gloss and her lighter in her coat for lighting up her cigarettes on her flight to New York. Now becuase of the NEOCON scaremongering these are weapons of Mass destruction. John Skerry, despite our differences, I have always thought you wouldn't be one that the fools in the White House would be able to convince with their false propaganda.

Do Bush Republicans still think war in Iraq is solving anything? There is a terror threat, and now it is bigger and more dispersed than ever.
