Yes, if you are already pregnant an ovulation test will be positive, the ovulation tests detect a hormone called lhc which is surge you see during ovulation time ad lhc an hcg are almost identical so the OPK will detect the hcg as well, however an HPT will not detect lhc only hcg. There is a website where you can read all bout it it is called www.peeonastick.com. However in order for it to confirm that you are pregnant the OPK needs to be positive (meaning both lines as dark) for at least 7 days in a raw.

No it wouldn't. It doesn't test for the HCG hormone.
