It all depends on the type of birth you have. (depends on the mom too) If you have a natural birth without an epeseotimy then you will bounce back VERY quickly. I was at the beach 4 days after giving birth to my youngest. With my oldest I had an epeseotimy and it took a long time to feel better. If you have an epidural or other pain meds then your body will take longer to bounce back.

With a c-section I am not sure how long you will feel 'sore' I have the feeling that it is more than just 'sore' a c-section is a MAJOR abdominal surgery. I bet that you will be 'sore' just as long as you would be 'sore' from and other major surgery. Add to that you body recovering from nine months of pregnancy.

With the after birth pains...(the pain of your uterus shrinking back down to normal) that is a pain I was not expecting. It get worse with each birth. If this is your first then you will get it but not as bad. I treated my after pains with a herb combo from a company called "natures sunshine" called "APS2" It is wonderful stuff. You take as many as you need to.

Soreness After Birth

I don't consider any girl thoroughly recovers after child delivery. It fairly has a way of fixing how a lady feels about all different types of matters. So far as bodily, it takes 9 months on normal to hold a baby for that reason it will take as a minimum that to get well physically. I am not definite about the staying in bed. If she was told with the aid of her doctor due to some sort of complications then yes she wants to stay in mattress. If she had a ordinary delivery with no complications then I do not see something unsuitable along with her getting up and moving round. It might without a doubt be just right for her to maneuver round. She would believe higher. If she opts to stay in bed and her temper appears altered she perhaps affected by put up partum despair and desires to look her physician. This condition might result in essential melancholy if it is now not dealt with competently. Anyway, hope this helps, and congrats. (incidentally, if you're wondering this with regard to intimacy together with her, it may be at any place from 6-8 weeks before she will have to be intimate.)

yes u get sore on both but u recover faster when its a vaginal and its about a week for the pain to go away. Now in a c section they do recommend that u walk because there could be blood clots forming in ur uterus and u need the blood flow so they don't form, and even though the pain is horrible they make u walk and get up to pee, i would never recommend a c section it is horrible !!! they make up get up within a few hours or the next day.

When i had my c section i didn't even wanna get up to pee, i wanted my catheter and i was able to move without the pain after about 1 month but the pain around the incision is still there, it comes back in sharp quick pains. and they say it never goes away

You get sore with both...you recover faster from a vaginal delivery. You can't drive or do anything for a couple of weeks after having a c-section. With a vaginal you can do a lot more a lot faster. A c-section is major surgery. I had a vaginal...and it wasn't too bad...took a day or 2 to feel better..My abdomen hurt a little more for a day or so...because of all the pushing

I have had 3 children vaginally, and the soreness is worse for about the first 3 days. After this it is really bearable and only minorly sore for about 2 wks. I have not had a c-section, but did have to have a hysterectomy and it was done with a bikini cut. If you have to have a catheter you will not be allowed to walk for 24 hrs, but if no catheter it is recommened that you begin walking as soon as you are steady on your feet. As for the soreness, the sitz bath really helps for the vaginal area and hemorrhoids if they develop.

With a vaginal birth, you tend to ache down there for about a month. After that, it subsides. The feeling is like you have a weight dragging you down, where the baby was pushed out. I guess because it is bruised. It's not so much a sore feeling, but a heavy feeling (unless you have an episiotomy, when it would also be sore due to the broken skin).

I never had a c section. After a normal vaginal delivery the soreness was gone within 2 weeks and it truly isn't that bad considering all you have already been through giving birth!

after vaginal delivery you can expect to be tender and sore about a week or two you will not be healed thou till 6 weeks. You Will need help the 1st few hours getting up walking you will be on pain meds and your balence will be off. Often when you stand up soon after delivery you get a gush of blood very unpleasant. Not sure after a c section.

it really depends on the person and the Dr. the sooner you are up and walking the sooner you heal. sounds funny but true. I had a hysterectomy and there was a lady who had one done right before my, both had different Dr.'s. My Dr. had me up and walking but the time I was going home that lady had just gotten up and walking that day. They told me it would be 3-5 days before I could go home. I said heck no I walked and walked so I went home the second day. The same for a c-section I'm sure. Don't be lazy unless u want to stay there. but I'm sure you will do great good luck it this question is for a soon thing.
