Read the question people........ she is not talking about the war in Iraq, she is talking about the war against the small far eastern principality of Irag. The English army have been suffering enormous losses in this conflict and is on the verge of surrender. I understand the UN are to intervene.

Losing was the only real option we ever had: what would have been a victory? OK, we deposed Saddam, but all that has achieved is to turn a stable, unevenly prosperous, but corrupt and violent state into an unstable, generally impoverished, corrupt and violent state. No gain for us in that. However, we have made a whole load of bitter enemies, sacrificed scores of troops who thought they were signing up to defend their OWN country in time of need and lumbered ourselves with a lasting commitment to try and clear up the mess we have made. Not much is going to happen to ordinary Brits except dearer petrol and higher taxes - Iraq certainly lacks the resources to counter-invade us.

There is no war "against" Iraq.
There is a war agianst a large number of insurgents that do not want to see Iraq grow into a democracy.
They are killing a lot of Iraqis in hopes to start a civil war.

We didn't go to war against Iraq, but against the regime of Saddam Hussein. You must remember him, he's the one with all the nuclear weapons. Well now that we have freed the people we are simply staying around to keep an eye on the oil...sorry to keep the peace, unfortunately there isn't any peace to keep.

The USA & UK have certainly lost in Iraq, but they will never admit it,There is civil war there now,& it cannot be controlled by the Iraqi Government because their troops & police are up to their necks in it themselves.Another 'victory' for Bush-style Democracy.

No its not true, and nothing will happen to us, but a lot of bad things are happening to the innocent Iraq people who are just normal civilians and did no wrong other than be born in that country, which is nothing they can be blamed for.

erm i dont think our troops are coming back yet with their tails between thier legs....
I personally dont think we will win as its not a case of fighting, killing, conquer, raise a flag and put some British in charge to run the country....
We wont win as Religion, politics and money is wrapped up on it.
I dont see how USA can possibly win a war against terrorism... only minimize it.... Terrorism has and always will be!.
Not that i condone terrorism in any way, but it doesnt take a rocket scientist to come up with new ways to commit acts of terror on civilians.

No but they are trying, and more of our lads and lasses are getting hurt or dead.
It seems there are not enough getting hurt so "Dick head of Downing Street" is now sending the poor sods to Afghanistan, where no one has ever won a war.
