Yuma is a language. A Native American people inhabiting an area along the lower Colorado River.
It doesn't sound like a name, but as the parent it is up to you to name your child just make sure this will be something you think your child will be ok with.

I know people answered this like a decade ago but I'm gonna say that I think the name Yuma is awesome consitering that it's my name and that people don,t make fun of me and that other people like it. I also love my name and I think it's great for a boy name even though I'm female

well, in AZ its a **** hole full of cocaine.....and ending a boys name in A isnt the best idea in my opinion.Remember you kid has to use whatever name you give him on job apps , for school and everything for the rest of his life.
