I dont. I appreciate the gesture but it makes me uncomfortable 2 seat or stand there 2 the song is over and the even worst is when ur a kid and after the b-day song they sing how old are u know and then u have 2 sing ur age i cant stand it.

Yes, the song "Happy Birthday to You" with cake and candles is kind of nice. Makes me feel special on my special day, to know that some people really do care to remember MY day. I don't like the idea of standing at attention until the song is over though. Just sitting there with the cake and candles in front of me is special enough. At my age, I wouldn't appreciate the "after the B.D. song, How Old Are You". I don't think I would sing the answer back. When I was a child or even in my teens I would have been more than proud to sing back my age -LOL-.

To me, a Birthday is the most important personal holiday a person can have. It celebrates the day you were born and another year alive, not to mention the presents. Some people don't feel that way though, they look for the negative of it.
I respect it so much that I celebrate ALL my pet's birthdays and if I know it is your Birthday, believe you me, you will hear me sing the song . . . weather you like it or not.

I hate it when ppl sing to me. I am too old now for that stuff, and I don't like the spotlight shining on me like that. I want a quiet birthday with a little romance stuck in there than someone singing off key.

I am with you on this one. I do not like being the center of a attention. It just makes me uncomfortable. When I graduated from High School my mommy through me this big bash... which was fun but I ended up hiding in the basement for a while just to get away from all the people.

No I despise it.. It sounds so corny, and fake..
I mean its nothing special, when everyone gets the same song sang to them...
Now if a beutiful young lady sang it in a sexy, arousing way,, then I would greatly enjoy it..
