Being loved by two people who want you. Much better than growing up in a family where you're unwanted or look at as a burden.

I was adopted when I was two years old. I am very glad that I was adopted. If I would have stayed with my mom my life would have been worse. She was on drugs, and with different men, we never new where our next meal was coming from, and we lived in a shed. When I got adopted I always had a roof over my head, food in my stomach, and clean clothes on my back. My parents took really good care of me and loved like ther own and still do. Being adopted isn't so bad. I couldn't imagine or even want to imagine what would have happened to me if they hadn't adopted me.

I always wondered what it would be like to be adopted because I have cousins that are adopted from Colombia and from Haiti. I think it's awesome. If it were me I would wonder what my biological parents were like and I would want to meet them but I would be thankful that I didn't have to grow up in a place where there's extreme poverty and most likely your parents gave you up so you didn't have to go through some sort of hardship with them. Do you not like being adopted? Think of how much you love this family that your with... there are so many people in this world that don't live with their parents... some of their parents died, some just left them and some wanted them but couldn't take care of them. Not to mention how many single mothers have to give up their babies because they just can't do it. I think adoption is sooo much wiser than abortion. If abortion was the other option be so thankful for your life! No matter who you live with you are who you are and you're a very special person.

That you know your parents can't afford you and adopted parents showering you with love.
And maybe one day, you meet your real parents, you have two sets of parents. That means more love been showered on you.

You get to live with a family that wants you and can financially and emotionally support you, versus someone who can't take care of you.
