When a being is created, the substances that are its make up have a finite "wear and tear", for lack of a better term. And so that being's function determines how long before it just wears out and ends. (no scientific facts to back this up, just my belief after all that I've read and learned over time)

With the exception of the creator (be it God, Rama, Allah or whomever), we're all made with a limited warranty.
Imagine a world where nothing and no one dies.
It would be very crowded...and there'd be a lot of old, wrinkly people walking around.
So, I'm happy to have a built-in obsolesce mode within myself.
It gives me motivation to do something positive with my life.
