My manager is a short ar*e, perhaps a little over 5ft. He is an arrogant bullying little sh** and needs shooting.

My question is do you think little people are annoying on purpose to compensate for their lack of height? i think certain ones should be sent away to a remote island.

Yes, I think so. I have known some cool short people, but the most egotistical people I have known have been short. I'm not that tall of a guy (about 5'7" or roughly 170 cm), but I have noticed that men about 5'4" and shorter are sometimes real assholes. The worst ones I have known were show-offs and always had to win every argument no matter how wrong they were. They will ignore whatever expert advice you give them because they don't want to be seen not knowing the answer to something. I kinda feel pity for them, but they are so irritating that I try to avoid them anyway. I have not noticed this problem with short women, though, probably because most men find short women attractive. Have a nice day!

Edit: Well, I wouldn't go so far as to do what some people are recommending here. Please don't make fun of the guy, or you'll make it worse all around. And just because he's short does not mean he can't hurt you. If you harass him, not only do you risk losing your job, but you risk getting shot when you leave work if he goes psycho on you. Just avoid him when possible, and when you do have to talk to him try to hide your irritation and show some respect and he'll probably become less aggravating. Good luck!

Yes. It's called 'Napoleon syndrome' or 'short man syndrome'.

I don't know if the conciously think 'I'm short so I'll be irritating', but there's a definate 'I WILL BE HEARD! I WILL BE SEEN AS IMPORTANT! LOOK AT ME!' in their psyche.

My last short boss drew attention to himself by shooting croddbow bolts into peoples chairs.

Let's get ITV to make 'short person island', they can all go there and make each other's life hell.

And never return here. Ever.

Some are, it's called a Napoleon Complex. Over compensation for feelings of inadequacy. In their defence, society in general is overly dismissive of a lack of stature (or looks, or coolness, or money etc.).

It's called SMS- Small Man Syndrome. It's where small men (though not all of them) compensate for their lack of height by being agressive. It doesn't work! It makes us respect them less and want to kill them more...

Yeah i've found a lot of small guys are arrogant and cheeky, just like small dogs. I think they do feel inferior to a point because of being smaller, and maybe see taller guys as a threat to their masculinity. Next time you get hassle from shorty, just gently pat him on the head in a condescending manner and tell him to "run along now" as my mother used to do to me when i was younger, lol.

A little guy with a chip on his shoulder. He feels like he has something to prove and now that he is in a position of authority he is going to do just that. Good Luck, very little you can do about it.

Same problem with our MD. He drives a big Shogun to help compensate. He often accuses people who are tall of trying to use their height to intimidate him...tit

I think you should print out a **** load of stuff on growth hormone therapy and every few days put a page on his desk or mailbox. Print out stuff like the average height of a male ect. Let him know he isn't normal!
