i want to replace my key chuck with a keyless chuck.

Open the chuck all the way and remove the screw - it may be reverse threaded - meaning you unscrew turning cw (clockwise)

Once you remove the screw put the chuck key in the chuck, hold the drill tightly and tap the key with a hammer. Tap it so the chuck would unscrew itself.

in additional to capbryguy,Put the drill in a wood vise,with the chuck opened and facing up.Put a few drops of liquid wrench on the screw and let it set. You may also have to use an impact screwdriver to get it out.It will be a reverse thread
