heck no its a post/hardcore band. they got the name from a band they were playing with and the band had a song called 'taking back sunday' so Eddie Reyes(guitarist) really liked the name and thus they decided to call the band that.

Taking back sunday was a song by a band from long island called "the waiting process"... it was a song that eddie really like so they decided to call the band that... If you watch this adam kinda explains what the song is about, it's kinda toward the end of the interview...
