i had my car wing mirror stolen last night i am so annoyed that some people think they have a right to do things like this and i end up having to pay alot of money to replace never mind the inconvenience does anyone else get annoyed over these people who think they have aright to steal off law abiding citizens

I used to work in a department store, and I would see it all the time! A lot of people have a strong sense of entitlement - like they are so special, they shouldn't have to pay for anything! There's also a lot of people who make their living this way - by stealing and selling stuff - now that's extremely annoying, when you think about it.
What usually cheers me up is knowing that one thing that can't be stolen, is the sense of pride that comes with knowing that you have maintained your integrity and morals by working for the things you have. And also the freedom of a clear conscience. Thieves will never have these things!

people are lazy and they dont respect anyone elses hard work. I think thats the basis of it. plus, some people as already mentioned, really get off on the rush of doing stuff like this. they dont care nor do they think about the way it could affect anyone, except for themselves. they do it for the instant pleasure and satisfaction at someone elses loss. they dont stop to consider the pain, trouble, expense, or headache the other person might have to endure.
mainly i think its a lack of respect issue. this country is founded on the quick dollar and now people think that success is success no matter how you get it. if it means vandalizing a car, frauding someone else, who cares!

Some people do it as a prank, you were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Other people do it because they have no respect for anything or anybody. You bring up annoyed, we have gone way past annoyed when people do things like that.

They steal because they can get away with it without having to face full justice for it. They don't have to look you in the eye and repay you for every cent of time and resources lost by their assault upon your freedoms; they attacked your freedom to enjoy a stress-free and secure life with your property.
Strengthen justice to require full recompensation, strengthen identity verifications, and strengthen security (electronic surveillance) and people will steal much less.
