No not everyone in texas rides a horse thats like saying everyone in california is a movie star or sees one every day (which i can guarintee you is wrong). The reason most people think that people in texas are cowboys is because thats where alot of the action went on in the old west, it was a large state, there was oil and alot of natural rescources and there was lots of wildlife.
There is nothing worng with you if you think that 'everyone in texas rides horses' or 'everyone in california sees movie stars everywhere they go' because thats what you have heard or seen somewhere so its not your fault or anyone elses.
Though I do highly reccomend that everyone does try horseback riding though, youll see its harder than you thought ^.^

what a silly question, that's like saying does everyone in New York ride the subway? c'mon, of course not. Texas is becoming urbanized very quickly. we have lots of urban cowboys. dress like a cowboy, talk like a cowboy, but the only horses they have ever seen were on t.v.

i've rode a few heifers, does that count?

Of course not, We are just like any state in the US (except bigger and better, if you ask any Texan) We also have real paved roads, universities, big businesses. Some people live in the city and never even see a horse!

Nope, and we don't all wear 10 gallon hats either. Texas is a great place to live if you haven't been here before you should pay us a visit. we have beaches, mountains, hills, desert, piney woods.and all sorts of fun things to do. Just remember our motto when visiting...Don't Mess With Texas. hope to see ya soon:)
