Where were you when you heard of Elvis' death?

Elvis Presley died 29 years ago today. Much like other monumental events, people everywhere remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news. How did you react?

I was 4 months old... I think I cried that day ;-)

It was late in the afternoon. My friend and I were riding in his car on the way to a St. Louis Cardinal's baseball game. When we heard the announcement on the news it was a shock, but I didn't have much of a reaction because I was never a huge Elvis fan.
I have since visited Graceland and now I have a greater appreciation of Elvis and his music.

Then the news came on that Elvis died . I was shocked and stunned

I was in Toronto Canada, on vacation with my parents and he died 2 days before my 14th birthday, I cried my eyes out and my Dad bought me 6 of his albums for a birthday present.

i was almost five and me and my mom and baby sister went out to the car and this little boy told us elvis died my mom turned on the radio and began to cry when she heard his song playing cuz she knew he was dead

I was riding my bike up and down our street, I was 7. My best friend came out and told me. I got off my bike and sat down on the curb and balled my eyes out!! Devastated. Long Live the King!!!!!!!!!

I was at work - Someone came in and told us he had died. I was stunned really since he wasn't all that old.
