Here are some ideas:
1) Cute graphic tee-shirt, jeans, sneakers, top it off with a cute seashell necklace and belt
2) A mini-skirt would look cute but make sure you wear a more conservative to make the outfit look less slutty. For example, a basic white tee would look cute with a jean mini-skirt and a scarf belt. And for shoes you could wear flip flops or even a cute pair of sneakers
3) If you want to wear a tank top pair if with jeans and casual footwear and a necklace

First of all, what school do you go to? My answer would be VERY different for elementary as apposed to middle or high school. Some school systems have some dress codes because kids have pushed things to the extreme. Second, what about your family? Would you get grounded if your clothes were too extreme?
Combining fashion, comfort, with remembering that you need to take care of your business, that is LEARNING, is my best advise.

Sometimes I go to the shop. They often have candy bars there. I am hopelessly dependent on these. Ah well. I bought a few and then went back home. On the way, I bumped into an old accquantance of mine. Miss garpole. Ah, I wish we were still sharing the same house.

If your allowed to wear a tank top to school that would be cool. But make sure you look a lil bit dressy to make a good impression with your teachers...and try not to wear clothing with words on it or anything try to stick on the plain side

whatever you do, don't wear your new fall/winter clothes on the first day, just because they are new....you will be too hot! My mom use to make my brother and I wear our new stuff right away, and we would be way to hot with pants and long sleeves
