I have a 1992 sierra GMC and the passenger selt belt doesn't work. It is the part that you plug it into that is broken. I have tried to jab things in there to hopefully pop something lose but that didnt do anything. What should I do or what can I do. Do I have to go to a junk yard to pull one and is it able to be installed if i do.? please help out.

First things first, "92" GMC is going to very rusted @ a salvage
yard, and the belt will be hard to get out. Unless they will remove
it for you. A new belt buckle will run about $80.00.
You have to remove the seat to get to the bolt, which again will
most likely be rusted and hard to get out.
You will need a torx head socket to remove.

Likely a bad spring in the receiver. You can pull one but you will need the appropriate socket to remove the belt. Most use a security fitting which is a star socket with a pin in the center to prevent casual removal. Check the fitting on your current belt before you head out to pull one.

Replace it from one out of the Salvage Yard. Need special TORX bit to remove though. Not a hard job, just removing interior trim panels, etc. Seat belts save lives.

Go to auto zone and buy a new one. If your nice they may install it for you. You are asking to get hurt with a used seat belt from a junk yard.

There should be a big bolt connecting it to the bottom of the seat frame or chassis. Piece of cake with a junk yard replacement.
