It has to be a Teacher. Doctors here in the US tend to do it for the money as do entertainers. Teachers on the other hand are, for the majority, the most underpaid profession. Think about it an elementary or high school teacher makes under $50,000.00 a year yet they're saddled with the responsibility of education the countries youth. That's a pretty big responsibility, if you ask me and deserves a hell of a lot of respect.

The most respected job in America should be that of a Mother or Father - a parent. However, I fear that as a society, we've lost respect for too many things.

In reality, it's probably an entertainer. Their lives are taped and televised, but when was the last time you saw a news story on a great teacher or a charitable doctor or a good devoted parent?

The one that pays a lot and doesn't involve something like being a porn star. If you're rich, you're automatically respected whether or not you went to school!
