I am sure people will have better answers then I am , I tend to shy away from the Horror stuff. My vote would have to go with the Shining with Jack Nicholson. I thought he was great. The idea of being stranded up in this isolated place with a mad man and ghost and other evil stuff was good. The Blair Witch project I found to be very interesting also.

Probably the original "Dawn of the Dead" (1978), an amazing blend of gross-out horror special FX and satirical humor. George Romero at the peak of his powers.

All of the Hellraiser movies & Event Horizon...both gave me nightmares and that doesn't happen to me very often...

If I had to pick just one it would be, Chucky, No it would be Lost Boys, No Frankenstein, No Dracula, Phantom of The Opera, Hellraiser, The Mummy ........
