Everybody knows a mother would most likely die for her child, or that a family member might sacrifice himself or herself for another family member. But, what about a stranger?

If a situation arrived and you had to make a choice to either save that person and take your life in his or her place, or do nothing and let that person die – which would you do?
Be honest here… it is actually a difficult thing to decide, and usually the spur of the moment would decide. However, if you are not sure, tell me what you THINK you would probably do then. Why?

Seeing as how I'm not the greatest guy, It depends on who it is. If its some jerk....maybe not. But it'd be hard for me to live with knowing I just sat there.

It would depend on the situation but I care about my life and the people in it to give my life. Is the stranger a child then maybe, if the stranger can give more to the world and I know that maybe

I THINK I would have to say that I would NOT die for a STRANGER I have a daughter that NEEDS me in Her life! But if it was a child, I'm really not sure....it's really a tough question to answer because it all depends on certain things.

Yes. I would die for a stranger.

I have more than once broken up a fight between people I didin't even know.

I've rescued people from the water. I didn't know them.

I must have been a St. Bernard in my past life. It's just in me. I don't even know why I do these things. I do them because Jesus taught us to love our enemies, and to help strangers.

Well you would never know what you would do untill that moment because the human mind acts different in those types of things. You can always like to think what you would do and I would like to think I would safe the other person.

I believe I would try and do whatever I could to save someone. I wouldn't say to myself, hey I'm gonna die if I do this. I would be thinking that we would both be fine. I have gone into situations where I've helped people in trouble and didn't think of myself. If it had to do with water, I don't think I could do it. I'm scared of the water.

I would react on automatic rather than a rational level and this would more likely be triggered by a child being in danger than anything else

i'd die for a toddler. i'm uncertain how i'd have the skill to stay with myself if I observed a toddler die in front of me, whilst i could've accomplished some thing approximately it. i'd extremely have the youngster stay and strengthen up, than could strengthen up and picture, "What if i could've saved him/her?"

well it would depend on the person i guess....if it was a child i would definitly save their life. i could not sit there and let someone die because i wanted to live. i would not be able to live with myself after that.
