The 'internet explorer' start up was inadvertently removed from the lower left task bar (yes, I am an idiot!) and was put on the desktop as a shortcut.....please help me put it back, I have right clicked on the shortcut and there is no option to replace it where it originated from. HELP Please!!! (this is not my computer...boy am I in trouble!)

Try clicking on the icon on your desktop and drag it to the taskbar.This should put the ie icon back.

Drag it back where you found it.

Left click over the icon. Hold the button down, then move your mouse back to where you found it on the taskbar. Once you're there, let go and it'll be back where it was.

Also, don't delete the icon on your desktop until after you've dragged it back to the taskbar. ;)

click and drag

click on the Internet Explorer icon then drag it beside any icon on your 'taskbar' and drop( i think it's called your shortcut bar/panel) not sure...try it

When you right-click on the icon, it will give you the option to delete it, do that, it automatically goes back to the start-up menu.

www.getfirefox.com Internet Explorer is so full of junk, Firefox is much better.

Oh, and, if you're really desprit to get that back, have you tried dragging and dropping it?

You can just drag it back to the taskbar.
