War is fought much differently these days to during the last world war. I don't just mean in terms of the technology that's used but in political terms with the use of the media. The countries with most of the power would do everything they possibly could to keep things localised as much as possible, so unless you live in the country where the fighting is taking place then probably not.
However, if anyone decides to use the nuclear option life will definitely change, sadly. Lets hope our politicians are competent enough to avoid it.
