I live in Western Canada. I drive a 16 passenger bus everyday threw the rockies. I see many animals. 2 mornings ago(6:00am) I watch as a pure black wolf crossed the highway with this black with speckeled grey wolf. The speckeled one was a little smaller then the black. I have been here for many years and have never seen this color of wolf before and was wondering what kind it is so I can find a picture of it to see if this was what I saw.

It's probably a variety of black wolf. There are a few varieties of coats. It could also be a mixed breed of a black and gray wolf. If it was smaller, it was probably either a female or a youngster.
