No it will never die. There will always be the controvesy about whether he is dead or alive somewhere. He IS the King of rock and roll and always will be.

well, this is a hard question, i know the Elvis hype has died down for me (i wasn't even born) and my parents and all my friends and their parents. I only know one Elvis fan that still listens to the music, most people have stopped because its gotten old, but some people still keep it going, those are the big fans, and thats okay.
Umm, and i think no, the hype about Elvis all around the world will never ever die down, well, maybe in a million years, but for right now there is always i huge elvis fan out there!

His contribution to music is incomparable . I wouldn't call it hype . It was hype in 1956 . Elvis is the stuff legends are made of .

Most of his fans are aging and will no longer be able to keep the hype alive. I like Elvis, but not enough to keep up vigils like the generation above me does.

Who cares?
People will always have different interests...
....Speaking of Elvis, I named my hamster Elvis...
.....Not because I like Elvis' music, but I thought it'd be an interesting name for a hamster.

Not as long as his music "lives" and impersonators survive.
He had a style and charisma that many find "easy" to emulate.
