No, the father should sit down and have a "man-to-man" conversation about it, see why he has the magazine etc. and let him know it is not acceptable.

Remember that he is 15, he's not really a kid anymore and is heading for adulthood.

If he still continues to buy the mag then ground him or take away something he enjoys such as xbox or whatever he normally spends most of his time on.

hes to old to spank, and believe me im a believer in spanking.but hes deffinately needs his dad to talk to help him figure out what he likes about it. it could just be curious. he is 15 and there probably lucky he waited this long. being curious is ok its what comes after that and thats what dad needs to find out. if the kids a perv the kid need to get a grip and realize if not someone could get hurt and trouble begins

No but they should talk to him about having that in their home. First of all the home all of it including the children's bedrooms belong to the parents and the children too. So I use my parental right to see that my children do not have anything harmful in their bedrooms. So they should talk to the 15 year old about it. Since those were our rules our children knew better than to bring junk into their bedrooms. Its like search and seizure laws. We are the house police so you follow the rules. Our children all grown and all professional careers (2 RNs, 1 engineers, 1 career Navy, 1 owns a company, 1 teacher ) . Have the same rules too.

His parents are the ones to make this decision. If they do, and if they profess to be fair, I would hope that they've at some time before hand made it perfectly clear to him by their words AND their actions - applying a uniform standard - that such items are not permitted in their home.

I would - and they oughta - be way more concerned about how and where he came to possess it. He would not have come across it at a 7-11, that's pretty much for certain.

where did he get it? does the father have them? they should explain why they don't want their child to have them and take away whatever privaleges that they can. 15 is probably to old to spank.

Make the kid throw away the book. Tell him this is not how people treat each other. Punishment is what he seems to be looking for.

spanking will not help
If she feels she needs to punish him, I would suggest a different method
