why does it change with each poll?

I see the Democrat party being less and less about honest government and more about show-biz. Whatever appeals to the left-leaning masses is what they'll do.

(And its not a threat until they figure out that they're following the minority of Americans)

That's a good question. Democrats like John Kerry are known for flip-flopping on issues and preaching different points of view depending on the audience du jour. A year or so ago, Hilary said she was "adamantly against illegal immigration". As it became a more nationwide issue, she changed her tune. Before, she said what we needed to do was go after employers who hire illegals, but more recently, when Republicans introduced a bill which would fine employers, she likened it to punishing the good samaritan. So yeah, it's all about what will get me the most votes this year.

I'm not sure what the Democrats rhetoric is but are the Republicans who are in power shrinking the government as per their mantra? What we have in the U.S. is a Duopoly that colludes with one another and keeps other parties from having their voices be heard. It's illegal in business to do this but somehow they get away with it.

Don't overgeneralize.
Everyone believes their own rhetoric, and everyone's rhetoric changes 'with each poll.'

Because the moderates are the ones who change their views according to the media.. They are the ones blowing in the wind.. Both hard right and hard left are not going to change their minds..

Republicans NEVER change from one election cycle to the next?

You kiddin'?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The reactionaries will overgerealize anything, and historically they are the FIRST to form opinion based on the political waters of the moment.

What is acceptable to conservative Republican today is not acceptable to one a few years ago.

Case in point, the bible.First it justifies racism, then it dispells it.Which is it? Depemds what time you asked.

i cannot generalize all democrats, but those who change constantly, to conform to any poll or popular idea have no moral standard, so without a control, the variables take charge.

I guess they are truly democratic. They change as the majority opinion changes. They usually go against the majority, but I guess they think it's their responsibility to do so.

Haveyou EVER been asked your opinion in a poll?
No, me neither. Maybe they ask different people with different answers.
With a bit more intelligence you could be a democrat.
