According to the theory of plate tectonics the land mass was fragmented and was made into various continets drifted from each other. Earlier to this it was believed in the continetal drift theory the supercontinent Pangaea which means in Greek ' all lands' began to break up about 225-200 million years ago eventually fragmenting into seven continents.
Now there is an information system to achieve, publish and distribute data from Global Change research with special emphasis on palioclimatic changes.
