If I pay my bills by bpay?

and I pay them on the day they are due, before midnite. Should I pay penalty rates for late payments if the head office is in another time zone ahead of mine?

Typically if you BPay a bill the money gets transferred around 6pm on the next business day. Its your responsibility to make sure that the biller gets his/her money by their date due. I would always pay before 4pm on the due date based on the biller's time zone just to be safe.
