I'm 36 weeks too and this happens to me all the time.
Just change positions when it happens or try lying on your left side more than anything. You'll not want to lie on your back because it cuts off your circulation.
If it gets worse or is really bothersome, let your doctor know.

You probably have pregnancy induced carpal tunnel . you can try a wrist brace at bed time or you doctor can give you a fitted brace. Until you have the baby there is really nothing else to do. The nerves in your wrist are being squeezed from swelling . Its no big deal yet! I would let your doctor know , He/She might want to check it now & after the baby is born. My sister had it and it went away within day after birth. I had it really bad. I had to have surgery. Don't worry, 36wk. your almost done.. Good luck with the baby. Congratlations!!!!

just keep this in mind, your body is catering to the needs of your baby, for all it cares, it will let your arms fall asleep, but dont worry nothing bad is going to happen from it, talk to your doctor, they are there to answer questions

The same thing happened to me. I wouldn't worry about it. It's pretty much normal. At the end I couldn't' even feel my fingers. That's just another thing that happens during our wonderful months of being pregnant. Good Luck!
