Before I reformat my hard drive, I copied/saved all my outlook express dbx folders into my memory stick. After reformatting, I tried to import the folders back into outlook express but failed. It could not locate those folders no matter where I put them, even where folder is supposed to be stored. (C:\Documents and Settings\Felix K\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{C749446B-0623-45F7-891A-E2D5AD3DBF93}\Microsoft\Outlook Express) But all the dbx folders just can't be detected at all. Help is very much appreciated.

This is what I have done actually before I reformat my hard drive:
1) Copy all the dbx folders/files into my memory stick
2) After everything is done, I moved all the dbx folders/files to where they are supposed to stored, C:\Documents and Settings\felix.000\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx}\Microsoft\Outlook Express.
3) Then I open Outlook Express, Import, Message, Microsoft Outlook Express 6, Import mail from an OE6 Store Directory, then I find the above location, try to import but failed.
4) What did I do wrong?

hmmm.. its pretty difficult.. but im glad to help! I think the problem is in your memory stick,, try to save other files.. If still it fails that means your memory stick is broken or whatever to cause it from not functioning correctly.,. Im thinking why when I reformat my hard drive it didnt failed?? pretty hard.. How about calling for a computer programmer or any person who is genius in solving that problems... But there is similarities in what we have done, But the problem is you cant locate it.. It is C:\Documents and Settings\Felix K\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{C749446B-0623... Express... Wrong spelling issues! just check some basic things.. Sorry if I didn't help you at all but I did my best. And I shared also my ideas~ thanks

In Outlook Express

Click Tools->Options
Click Maintenance Tab
Click "Store Folder" button
Click "Change" button
Navigate to where the dbx files are stored and click OK
Click OK until you are out of the configuration screens.
Restart Outlook Express.

Try moving them out of the application data file then importing - make a directory like C:/mail or put them back on your usb drive and try to import from there.

EDIT : sorry, didn't read your question carefully. Now i change my answer. If you run through the wizard carefully, you should not not getting all mails in your inbox. Try again. And if you are not getting new emails to MS Outlook, you need to set the MS OUTLOOK as the...DEFAULT... email handler. Try look it up in Tools-Options-there is a check box-be default email handler. Good Luck !!

Did you check the memory stick to see if the *.dbx files were really saved there? Cause it seems to me that if you can't find them on the stick, then they ain't there.
