Ok. Some of you have answered my ?'s before, so I must tell you that I took a hpt last night (8 days before period is due). It was negative. Of course I know it was probably too early, but my symptoms are still the same (feeling bloated and heavy, sore breasts, slight pain in one or both sides, tired, etc.). I understand that these are also pms signs, but I usually don't get these until a couple of days before period. Do you think I just jumped the gun and tested too early? Do you think there is still a chance I'm pregnant and just need to calm down, wait it out, and test later? Sorry, I'm just so anxious about getting pregnant.

Thanks to all of you who don't answer with an extremely rude remark. For those of you who do...why don't you try being supportive and sympathetic...do you know what it's like to try forever just to have a child?

Yeah, you jumped the gun. You can't tell until 5 days before you miss your period and then sometimes it can still come out negative. It's probably best to wait until you actually miss your period and then test. I know how you feel though cuz I'm trying to get pregnant and I'm very anxious. My period is suppose to start tomorrow but I usually feel it coming on about 5 days before and I'll start getting cramps. I have slight cramps today but not like I usually get when I'm starting a period. I'm hoping my period doesn't come and if it doesn't I'll test tomorrow. I've been wanting to test and I can but I'll be patient as I can and see what happens tomorrow. I've been having all those signs too but I usually get them every time I get my period. So, I'm not going to jump the gun and get my hopes up.

There is a chance that you may be pregnant. But you do need to calm down wait another week, and try a test again. Esp. if you dont get your period.

I just found out I am 5 weeks, so good luck!

Of course you tested. Your excited. I don't know how much money I have wasted by testing early, but oh well. If you are having pain in one side...is it possible that you are just now ovulating. I usually feel that way when I am ovulating. Sometimes it's late. Best of luck....wish me the same. Test in a week....so if your like me in about 4 more days :)

Wait and test later. You might just be getting your period a bit early.

Jumped the gun too early? too early from what? If you had sex last night and tested yourself today.. then yes, it was too early. You should wait about 3 weeks after sex to find out anything.

it is never to early. but your cycle could be changing and since you are stressing about it, you are prolonging the process. you did say you took the test 8 days b4 so you are close to coming on so it could be the symptoms. wait a little and take another.

yes, you tested too early. try the cervix method, look it up on the net. i think if your cervix is high and soft, your getting to start your period. if your cervix is down low and hard. you might be pregnant. ya might want to check my sources on the net.hope you have goodluck! love jan

My OB/GYN told me that a woman has only ONE CHANCE each month to conceive. It's a well known fact that anxiety will hinder pregnancy! Relax! It will happen when your body is ready.
