Meaning, don't let ones self be scammed.

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket"
Literally, if one drops the "one" basket, all the eggs may be broken.
Figuratively, Don't put all your money in one bank, don't put all your money in one investment vehicle.

"Break a leg"
Show business, "Give it all you've got. "Kill" the audience with your talent."
Like a runner, run till you drop, or your leg breaks.

"Don't count you chickens until they hatch"
Don't count your money on an investment or a promise, until it is in hand.

"A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush"

Keep what one has and not lose it trying to get more.
