Stay in school. Do the modeling if you can do it part time. You won't be handsome forever dear. Once that's gone, you'll have to have something to fall back on.
Do you know how many people there are out there with the same dream? You'll have a ton of competition, so the likelihood that you'll make it big is next to nil.
Stay in school. Model and act over the summer and after classes.
Good Luck!

Do you have really good opportunities and connections right now? If you've been modeling for a while and have a manager/agent who is encouraging you to pursue it 100% or you've built up a respectable portfolio or a resume and you really want to do this and genuinely think you have a good shot at being successful now then it might not hurt to give it a try.
It would help to know your age and how far along you are in school or your modeling experience. If you have little experience then chances are you're not just going to go out there and become big overnight and start landing jobs left and right. So if you don't have a lot of experience then I'd say stay in school and finish and pursue it part-time. If you do happen to land a great job that conflicts with school then I say you cross that bridge when you get it. Also if you're say a Junior or a Senior then you might as well just finish off school and that way you can pursue modeling 100% full-time once you're done and not have any regrets or second thoughts.

I suggest you try to do both. You can only model for so long because, well, you know how the industry is. So, in the long run, you will need an education.
About going back to school later on...why wait? Suppose shortly after you start modelling you have to quit or you're unable to get jobs for some reason? Or, let's say you do have a career that lasts until you're in your late 30s/early 40s, do you want to have to go back to school then? Or wouldn't you prefer to be in a position to change careers and get on with your life?
Try to do both, but concentrate more on school. College won't last forever, and you'll still be young when you graduate.

Well I didn't go to college but I have been in my profession for about 6 years - I'm 25 now. I make pretty good money, in fact I make more then some of the people that have master straight after school. I do not like my job but have stuck with it because of the money. I am like you - should I go to college, should I pursue my dream in this other field. I have come to the conclusion that whatever my passion and dream is - that I should go for it - and not do what I feel is a better decision. As long as it is your dream and passion you should be able to push really hard to succeed in it. Anyway - I have chosen a different path and expect to do really well within the next few months. Fulfill your dream and be happy. Happiness is worth a lot more

I really beleive you can do both. Remember, right now you are young and because of that and your looks, it easier to prefer modeling; but when as you get old, it will get difficult to obtain jobs in modeling because every agency wants a fresh new look. If you start modeling and forget about college, maybe when you are done with the modeling gig you will have no energy to beging studing and maybe no time because at that time you will have responsabilities (family, kids) and bills to pay. So if you can, select both or styding, there is always time for modeling, I'm not saying to give it up, just try to do both or go with a short degree so you can get out of college fast.

If you have a real offer from a real respected and well known agency then take it, because as you say you can always go back to school, and the modeling industry prefers youth, which you have only now.
But if your question is should you start chasing your dream INSTEAD of going to college I say no, because taking head shots and dropping them off at agencies is not a full time job, and you could easily attend school and network for modeling at the same time.

I had that offer on campus once, but I wouldn't take it too seriously just yet. You have to pay to start up your package (portfolio, photo shoots). I didn't pursue it because I didn't want to pay. I had a friend that did pay and modeled a bit...her career didn't go far, but she juggled it with her studies and luckily she didn't drop out. I would say juggle the two and give the offer a shot...if you get a chance, go for it. College professors are usually very understanding and if you speak with them personally about having to be somewhere else, they are usually open to giving a postponed deadline or to email a paper...I've had some professors who assigned an essay for students that had to be away instead of forcing them to take the actual final exam. Give it a shot, don't miss the opportunity. If it doesn't go well, at least you won't live with regrets if that's your dream.

I picked a school because of fact it became far remote from my mothers and fathers and because a pal became going there - huge MISTAKE!!! discover out all you are able to in regards to the college until now you go! The call rather does not make a distinction interior the "genuine" international and that i might visit a state college to maintain money. The college of Kentucky is stable for drugs. The college of Louisville is purely too - it rather is my alma mater (no longer hte first college I attended - that became jap Ky. U.) and that they are dumping a lot of money into study centers and medicines marvelous now. yet another concern you're able to do to maintain money is do your first 2 years at a close by community college, then flow to a bigger college. this way, you additionally could make up your innovations approximately what you desire to do and get your widespread study out of how. in case you desire to stay at abode, you are able to attend on line courses for the 1st year or 2. The college of Massachusetts has a large on line software. attempt to get an affiliate's degree in something until now you get your bachelor's. additionally, enable the faculties court YOU! go someplace the place they act like they desire you as a pupil. stable success! :)

I would do both, and if an offer came along you couldn't refuse then go for it. But it is possible to model and go to college, my sister did both...and now she has a masters is psychology. Granted she didn't want to be like the worlds best model, just gave her something to do besides school. It's your life, so do what makes you happy.

Do modeling as a job while in school if you get an offer. That way you have your education. Most people who leave never go back and you may need it eventually.
