I Really Dont Know How But Maybe because When There are Funerals..Its Not Nice For People To Wear Colourful Clothes ..
Because Colourful Clothes Show Happiness And Delight and In A Funeral its Sadness And Loss Not Happiness ...
The Colour Black Means A Lot of Things ...Some People Say Black is Sexy , Vintage and Elegant ...Some Say its Dull ,Not Bright And Sad ..

I would imagine because the color Black is dark and darkness is depressing, being depressed is related to being sad, and when in mourning you are sad. Sound about right?

This was actually in the paper this morning.
People started wearing black because they believed that the spirit of the deceased would be able to find them and follow them home if they wore any other color. They started wearing black so the "spirit" couldn't find them.

I'n guessing because the color black has no joy, no warmth, no personality so to speak. I think it's silly myself. A funeral should show the personality of the deceased. When I die, I want people to wear jeans and tie dyed t-shirts and sandals!
