NO! He went to such a beautiful county and caused did such a awful thing. Im glad he did not escape. People easily get brainwashed - they think what one man is telling them is the path to happiness. Jim Jones was evil and treated his followers badly! Some escaped thank god.

He was going to hell anyway - I mean his dad was in the KKK..so it was all going downhill!

Look at the type of people that followed Jones. Poor, ill treated ethnic minorities rejected by society at the time. He was offering them the "promised land" so to speak. Somehwere where they would live in harmony together in a paradise in the jungle! If people are at a low point in their lives and Jones (who was obviously an excellent leader and public speaker) offered them something that could change all that, then I'd say its pretty easy to make people believe anything becasue thay wanted to believe it!
The unfortunate thing was of course that Jones was a serious drug user often out of his head on LSD so no I would not have followed him!!

look it. i could use my subject-unfastened experience and understand those Jim's are no longer the comparable as those you referred to. And in the event that they characterize a reliable religious team or the different secular employer then of course i could. regrettably I do have a superstition to no longer donate to human beings whose names take place to comprise the alphabets "J, M, A, Y, M, Y,I, S, or E. No sir, i visit won't. or maybe i could?

Just look at the the 24 suspected would be plane bombers!!!
Were their lives so awful that giving them up to an explosion seemed a good way out? I doubt it. But somebody brainwashed them didn't they?

I don't believe I would have, because the bible is pretty clear about what things to look for.
