I personally avoid kneeling, nxa si cleaner i floor, coz that is how we get them in the first place. Please please please do not use a pumice stone as it makes that patches darker and thicker. I use olive oil....yes olive oil for cooking....to moisturize before i step out of the bathroom door...i e when skin is still wet. I hope this helps

Not black~ yet a skin care pro! Southern gal with experience!

First- internal dehydration is the main problem- drink 60-80 ounces of water a day. That will effect your skin asap.

These are build ups of keraton. Here it is- to remove "chalky" skin and "tar knees" as they are called. Right???

The best thing to remove the dead/dry skin with a "Scrub". An apricot scrub will do for the skin, but those elbows, knees and feet...whoa honey, that's a pumice stone.

In the shower or tub soak the area and continue to scrub till the area is softer or slightly pink ( not to deep!) often for several weeks, two or three days apart. You may always need to do it. You need to get a very good moisturizer (NO baby oil or vaseline) Ask grandma, she uses that coccabutter for a reason.

If your skin is oily, it may not be really, Often it will produce too much oil as an effect of being "too dry" and the glands are trying to protect it. So keep your skin very clean with a sensitve skin cleasner not harsh soaps. Use the liquid toner and clean out he skin.

Stop using bar soaps, that leave residue on the skin.
Liquid soaps like "Tone" or "Dove" is best for your skin texture. and yes, moisturize after the shower- while you are still wet is best.

At night, cleanse well, apply a white paste layer of moisturizer on the areas of concern ( let it sit,) put on cotton clothes for bed. Pour it on the feet, put them in white or clear grocery bags and slid into a pair of cotton socks for several hours while you watch TV and remove plastic for bed, put socks back on.

Good luck! I'm blessed to have diverse girlfriends that tell me the "tell" you know.

tell her to use hand lotion on her knee, that will make it softer. and tell her to exfulliate. that will take away the dead skin and it won't be so thick
