I love them both and can't be happier that they make up the left side of the infield. After those seasons of suffering with the visually impaired Matsui, this duo is so much fun to watch work together.

I honestly can't choose the better of the two. Wright has more power offensively, but Reyes is great at stretching a double into a triple and his bat was on fire last night. Defensively, Wright throws bullets to first and lets only a very few hits pass him at third. Reyes, is superb defensively, but seems distracted at times in the field.

Definetly David Wright, he places up HR and RBI numbers Reyes does not come everywhere close to and nevertheless stole 30 bases. it is not comparable to he shouldn't scouse borrow bases. Plus the certainty that Willie Randolph has hinted Reyes will scouse borrow much less this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days to keep away from a burnout like in 2007. My predictions for this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days are: Wright 36 HR's 123 RBI's 31 Stolen Bases and Reyes 15 HR's sixty 3 RBI's 70 SB's. The stats do no longer evaluate in any respect and David Wright is the far greater risk-free and worthwhile %..

I love them both and want them to be in the league for the next 15 years . If I had to choose one I would take Wright only because the Mets have never had a third baseman for more then three years at a time. See Howard Johnson , Alfonzo and the other 90 they have had at the hot corner since 1961. I will take Wrights power over Reyes speed right now. They are both Stars in my mind however an are untradable.

I'd have to say Reyes is the more complete player although Wright is very good. Reyes has 49 SB, which shows he is a speed guy and can get you runs ( he's got 98). We also know he's got some power in him (3 HR last night!).

If I had to pick one of them to be on my team, I'd have to pick Reyes, even though I would like them both!

Tough one. Both rising stars but i will say Wright because of the power he has even though Jose had a 3 HR night.

I think you can't pick or compare them, they're both good at what they do. Wright is a good clutch hitter and plays defense almost flawlessly. Reyes can run the bases, steal, bunt and in defense is great too!
So i'd choose them both, since they're both in different positions.
