Gavin once in awhile introduces songs before he plays them and sometimes gives a few words about the meaning.

Glycerine's lyrics are very surreal (odd and not connected.) You can't take anything literally in them... for example bad moon whine again - it flat out makes no sense. Gavin often writes things that sound cool / rhyme but don't necessarially mean anything.

Good question! I always thought it sounded like a suicide note, he's telling her goodbye and live each day to the fullest and it might have been easier if they had never met. Glycerine is deadly yet sweet so it could also mean their relationship was like that. Or it could mean that he drank glycerine and now he feels like he's sinking into her, seeing white and then seeing gray. I like the way it leaves it up to your own translation
