the most dangerous animal in australia would be the salt-water or estuarine crocodile. they are the most dangerous because they are the most aggressive and along with the Nile crocodile will prey on human beings.
although the fierce snake is the most deadliest snake in Australia, it is not an aggressive snake. They will only bite as a last resort. Bites usually occur in captivity, since in the wild they are found where there are no humans around.
Sea wasp is the deadliest known jellyfish that inhabits the waters of northen Australia. It can kill within a few minutes if not treated immediately.

Well it depends, on land, there is the mouse spider, the Sydney funnel web, and the barrage of venomous snakes.
In the water, there are things like the Box Jellyfish, the Blue-Ringed Octopus, salt water crocodiles and Greta white Sharks.
So I guess it all depends where you are in Australia, because many of these dangerous animals are restricted to various areas, because Australia is a combination of many different habitats.
In my opinion, I would say that the Sydney Funnel Web Spider is one of the most dangerous, but they are rarely seen in the wild.

The saltwater, or estuarine crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) is an extremely dangerous animal. They can be over 20 feet long and weigh over 1,000 pounds! They have lots of large teeth and when they close their jaws at 3,000+ pounds per square inch it can easily crush bone without even applying the full force of its bite. If it gets a hold it can simply hold on and pull you under to drown you, or it could go into a death roll and you'd lose the limb before it bites again for a second helping.

If you don't count humans, then any of several spiders could be considered because of their propensity to live in houses. Thus, the chance to interact with people is much higher than some of the possibly more lethal animals such as a jelly fish or great white off shore or the tiger snake out in the bush.

It's called a funnel spider.
They're found mostly is Sydney. Huge spiders that are HIGHLY venomous.
If you don't get the antidote, you can die within an hour.
They are mostly dangerous to children, because they are crawling on the floor all the time.
I watched a show, and it showed a little girl that had gotten bit in the mouth by one as a baby. She just picked it up and put it in her mouth as most babies would.
She's fine now, but she almost died.

In terms of deaths, I'm guessing a jellyfish. I was going to say the Box Jelly, but there is a tiny one just discovered that is probably responsible for most jelly stings that the box jelly gets blamed for.
----------edit----------------------
...Until this year the sting of the peanut-sized, translucent Irukandji jellyfish found off far north Queensland was thought to be little more than a painful irritant. The verdict puzzled experts who knew the box jellyfish's venom could trigger the so-called Irukandji syndrome, causing excruciating back pain, sweating, and nausea, but not death.
Following tests, experts cleared the Irukandji jellyfish, or Carukia barnesi, of one of the tourist's death, but in the process discovered there are more undetected deadly jellyfish lurking in Australian waters, with no antivenin available....

They have the most venomous spiders, the most venomous snakes, highly dangerous jelly fish, and saltwater crocodiles... The bird mentioned above is the cassowary, and yeah, they can rip you up pretty good if they want to... I'd say the most dangerous one is whatever one you happen to be around, especially if you don't know they're there.
