Good for the team ....................... bad for the transfer kitty ................ if he does come in they'll have two players to fill one position, .......... but saying that Hargreaves is more versatile than Carrick so maybe Alex has other ideas for him!!!!!

Owen Hargreaves is an excellent player but very very very under rated!! That is because he plays abroad and so not many England Fans see him play untill he plays for England and even when he plays well he gets slated! I have to admit he can be appear very inconsistent. However if he did sign for United i don't think he would play a huge amount which would be bad for him and England but he would be a better English player for playing in England which would be good. You have to give the guy a break as throughout the world cup alot of players said he was the best player in the previous tournaments aswell so that has to mean something? If Steven Gerrard and David Beckham say you are playing better than them you can't be bad can you?

He's not going to Man U. Bayern are not prepared to lose both Ballack and Hargreaves this summer. They'll dig their heels in and make Hargreaves see out his contract, at least for another year. Munich usually mean what they say, unlike other top teams (*cough* Real Madrid *cough*).

Ferguson is really desperate right now for a quality midfielder. Hargreaves is NOT the answer. He's tooooooo similar to Carrick -- both holding midfielders

It would be a great move except for young Jones, a promising central midfielder for Manchester United. Hargreaves and Carrick would be around for 5 or so years and he'd hardly get a chance.

Other than that, providing they can budge him out of Munich for a good price, then he'd make a great pairing with carrick. Carrick needs more of a central slash and dash midfielder anyway. he doesn't have Davids for that anymore, so hargreaves could fit that role and let him track forward.

It look`s like someone is having you on! Owen Hargreaves can`t come to Manchester United as his contract goes on till 2010. Which is a shame.

Very good for everyone I would say.

It would be a good move for Hargreaves and for Man Utd

It probably would be good for the English national team too.

The person who says he is **** (or rubbish to use a different word) - Didn't you see him be the best English player on the pitch when England played Portugal.

Good for Hargreaves as he will be higher profile. Good for United as they need some energy in the midfield.
