Being under stress and depression can make your period late. I took a pregnancy test after being a week late and it turned up negative. A week later I still hadn't started and took another test and it also was negative. The next day I started my period. If you don't have any of the other symptoms (tender breasts, unusual tiredness, etc) then I would go ahead and wait another week and quit stressing about it. You don't want to spend money on a test that you may not need. Plus, keep telling yourself that if you are pregnant that you will deal with it when the time comes instead of worrying you might be pregnant.

You can definately go ahead and take the test now. It's an ideal time. Take it with your first morning urine, because if you are pregnant, it will have the highest concentration of the hormones the test is looking for.
Stress can definatley cause a delayed or even missed period. It's happened to me before. If you're worrying and stressing causes you to miss out on things, then you should think about talking to a doctor about it. They won't think you're crazy or being silly.
Good luck!

I would wait 2 weeks. Sometimes when you are down you miss your period. I am pregnant right now and every time I ttok that test (first response) it was neg and it was right! Finally after 2 weeks of not getting a period. I took an EPT test and it was positive! So I would wait.

First response really does work. I would try that one they should tell you on the back of the box. Stop worrying so much just calm down and see if your period will come don't let anything bother you. If need be you can go talk to dr about problem they do help.

Did you know worrying about it will delay your period even more? even stress of any kind can delay the menstrol cycle. If your that worried about it take the test, yes first responce will detect if your prego or not at this time.

Get on a good birth control and use a condom when you have sex...you shouldn't find yourself needing to worry about pregnancy then.
Buy a home preg. test, there should be a phone number for questions on the box...call and ask them if you don't have a doc you can call and ask about when and the chances of you being preg.
And perhaps see a counselor about your constant worrying...this life can be tons of fun, if you let it.
