You will never be a model, sorry. The muscle will cover some of the deformities, not correct them. And it is normal for a doc to send a child out of the room and talk to the parents.

building muscle is not going to correct the malformation. what it is going to do put some meat on those malformationed bones so they are not visible. you should have found out if that would prevent you from participating in sports. from what you said, i don't see why you can't play in sports. you play sports, you gain muscle, you gain muscle, you hide the malformations. but it is not a load of crap. ask if you can play sports and which ones, and be like the other boys your age. don't let that get you down. use it as your reason why you will do better than the boys your age.

I wouldn't worry about what the doc said to your dad. Adults do stuff like that and if the doc said to exercise then I would definately do it. Push ups and pull ups are great ways to build muscle and since you are skinny you don't have to worry about losing fat first. I am sure you look fine and don't stress about how your ribs look. It is what is inside a person that really counts. I've known many people that aren't very nice but look pretty. And I've known people that are average looking and are really very nice. Those are the ones I am friends with. Those are the ones that really count. Make the best out of what you have and be a nice person and the rest will come together like it should. Happy weight lifting.

It is not a correction but it helps to conceal them. Your problem is you are so thin right now that if you take your shirt off you can see bone detail and it is very defined. the muscle and weight will not make it so apparent. you will know you have it but people won't be able to see it as easily. We are what we are so the best you can do is try to not make it as obvious if it bothers you. Muscle never hurt anyone and a good exercise routine is a good habit to get into for life. Remember your doing it for you and not everyone else. Everyone else can kiss my asp if they don't like the way i look and that should be your philosophy too.

You were born with a little irregularity in your skeletal system. YES, building muscle would help any discomfort or aesthetic embarrassment you have. Eat well, lots of fresh vegetables, fruits, lean meat such as chicken and fish, all the dairy you want, whole grains, etc. And participate in sports or exercise in any way you enjoy.
Your dad and the doctor were more than likely just chatting. You know, 'guy talk' among friends. You are fine. Don't worry.

Can't tell you for sure but I think that building muscle may help hide the deformation in your bones. I don't think it will correct it but probably make it less noticeable. You dad could've been talking to the doctor about anything especially if they are friends. I wouldn't worry too much about that. Maybe your dad has an issue he wanted to talk about and didn't think you would want to hear about it.

Talk to your dad. Tell him you'd like to see an Orthopaedic Specialist or Thorasic Surgeon. Don't put it off. You might be able to fix the problem while you're still young and growing. Definitely get a 2nd and maybe 3rd opinion. There are many quacks(bad doctors) out there-trust me-I've worked with alot of them. You're 15-you should demand to know what that 10 min conversation was about as well.
Best of Luck Bro.

I have a congenial disorder of my hip and Physical Therapy has helped me alto. I Haw to work hard on strengthen my mussels and strength just to keep up right when I attempt top walk. Most of my time outside the house is spent in a wheelchair. Yes, building mussel and strenght is good for you and I would not worry about what he said to your Father. I'd work hard to make myself as Body Correct as possible. What's important is the real you inside. I know some Ugly People, but there spirit radiates through their looks. even though, Drink protein shakes that will help when you work out. hope this helps you settle your fear.

Well if you feel your Doctor and Father aren't telling you the truth get a second opinion. As for the modeling I don't think your ribs will hold you back at all, and yeah I do believe if you put on a little weight and "pumped it up" it would definitely be less noticeable. Now mind you Im no expert BUT I can tell you this , my son used to be super thin and I used to tease him about his little ribs sticking out BUT since he gained a little weight and worked out I can't really see his ribs at all.

Building solid mass is always good for your body.
Cosmedicaly speeking ....large muscles will help hide the bone. Some weight gain other than muscle (fat / fluid) may also help hide the difference. Only you will decide what you will become.... Model....A dream needs passion to become reallity. Good luck... Hey check out a guy I knew when I was your age.....The Mighty Atom.
