ok i watched this movie once, it was a war movie or navy. and theres a soilder/sailor who rescues this baby and brings it back on this big boat/ship. and then takes the kid back to usa?
thats all i remember.

It was A Thousand Men and a Baby and starred Richard (Johnboy Walton) Thomas as a doctor in the navy who adopts an orphaned asian baby. I can't remember all the details but I remember the movie because it was at Christmas and it had Thomas' character telling the story to the son as an adult.
