I'm not sure what your last name is, but you should take that into consideration as well. Isabella Sydney sounds okay, but how long is your last name. If your last name is Smith, Brown, or something else short I think this would be okay. But if your last name is something a lot longer I think you might want to consider a shorter middle name, possibly with only one syllable like Isabella Mae. Typically if you are going with a longer first name you want to use a shorter middle name. But then again it all depends on your last name. I would just make sure it is not too much of a mouthful for your baby girl.

I would stick the the Isabella(belle) Sydney. Seeing how it has a lot of meaning to you and I'm sure your friend would love for you to use her name. You could always use Sydney for the first name though. Which ever way you like will be great and always be special to you and her too. Good luck to you.

I say name her Sydney. Truly, how often does someone get called by their full name? And I think Isabella Sydney sounds cute :) I am a firm believer that if you want to name your child a particular name (first or middle) for a very special reason (such as the reason you have) that you should do it. I've heard some very "non-traditional" first/middle name combos. My dad's name was Ralph and he passed away... if I ever have a boy I am naming him xx Ralph xx regardless of how it sounds. It's special and very important to me!
I say Isabella Sydney!

I love the nick-name Belle! While it is understandable that you would like to give your daughter your friend's name, honestly.... it doesn't sound good with Isabella. You could always name her Sydney Isabella and still call her Belle?
Anyway, Isabella Marie, Isabella Rose, Isabella Rey, Isabella Christine............. to name a few.
