Can you tell me if this normal or not. I started my period on the 15th of this month and yseturday when I changed my tampon there was a big blood clot on it, then while I was peeing I passed another blood clot about the size of a half dollar. I actually felt it come out of me. I know women have blood clots when they have their period but is having that size of a blood clot normal? My period will be regular for awhile and then go irregular, I get it sometimes 2 times in one month. (My period before this was on July 15th to the 21st, but I also had it on June 30th -July 5th) Feburary and March I never got a period and then in june I had it April, May and June and got it on or right around the 3rd. What is the blood clot thing all about. Do you think there is something wrong and if so what do you think it could be. I had an utrasound done in March when my period didn't start for the 2nd month in a row, they found nothing wrong w/me. Is there something their something they are

My experience with periods was similar to yours. I had large clots and headaches while I was young. Nothing seemed to help. One doctor suggested surgery, another suggested it was fibroids and another thought it was just my body's way of dealing with being a woman. I endured the headaches and learned that some foods and lack of sleep caused most of my headache problems as I was a single mom working full time at an job and didn't have the time to rest that I needed. My daughter has some of the same symptoms.

I can only suggest that rest and freedom from stress as much as possible and keep checking at your yearly exams that all is OK. Perhaps some one will come up with other examples of their situations.

I am 37 and have no kids but I often have the symptoms you describe and I take a multivitamin with 100%USRDA requirement for iron and drink at least 1 1/2qts of water per day. Make sure you talk to your doc about this. It isn't normal and while I never worried much about it if you are trying to have another baby this could affect your chances. I wish you luck.

I have irregular periods also. And when it does finally come I do get the clots as well. Don't worry if your dr. says all is OK, then all should be OK then. But it's normal. Don't worry Don't you just love the female body.

go to the doctor and get some test run, see what's up. irregularity in the menstral flow can also be caused by stress. perhaps you are stressed out and that is your body's way of telling you. as a woman, know when something is not right, the first place to look is towards your menstral.
