For the last few months, I've been having foot problems. If I sit for a duration of time and get up, I limp and it takes about a min or two of limping before I can walk normal again until I sit and the process starts over. The pain I feel in my feet is on the top of my foot and on the sides. Sometimes even my ankles. It feels like I sprained my feet even though I've never sprained them. Yes, the foot problem is on both feet.

I have stayed at my full-time job for 10 yrs. I work 12 hour days for 4 days a week in steel toed boots and the job I have, we can only sit for an hour a day of work. I don't know if my foot problems are due to work or standing on my feet for that many years. What do you suggest I do? Should I see a doctor?

I'm no foot doctor...but yes I would say the condition your feet are under has a lot to do with the problem. I have a friend who has bad feet problems, and has a couple of surgeries, and she swears by some temperpetic shoe insert. I to after being on my feet for a long time have the same problem as you when I get up. I think it is due to the pressure we put on our aching feet helps relieve the nerves. But like I said...I am no doctor, and that's who I would ask.

YES...see a doctor as you may have peripherial vascular disease affecting your circulation. Don't continue to sit so long. Get up and walk around a little every 30 minutes or so. But first and foremost see a doctor!

Go to the doctor. Don't wait, you could have something seriously wrong. It could be from all the standing and walking especially if it's on concrete.

Could be falling arches? Try arch supports and if the pain continues please see the doctor. You only get 2 feet and it sucks sitting in a wheelchair.
