It's pretty normal to find that your taste for different foods have changed. If you don't like steaks right now, that's fine. Just make sure you get enough protien from meats and things that you do like right now.

Here's a good one for you...normally, I hate Strawberry Fanta but lately, I've been craving it like it's going out of style.

It's pretty normal. Just make sure you notify your doctor IMMEDIATELY if you start wanting to eat things that ARE NOT food, like mud, laundry detergent, paint because that's a sign of a vitamin deficiency and you'll need supplements.

Good luck!

I as quickly as cried at a similar time as watching some thing humorous - no longer unhappy. It all started out as giggling, improved to that form of giggling with tears rolling down my face, then an all out cry fest - even though it wasn't relatively humorous anymore at that element. It became the strangest situation that i've got ever felt emotionally. i became relatively embarrassed and had to depart the room so my husband does no longer think of i became loopy! Its basically hormones. Now i'm 29 weeks and could cry each and every time I watch those birthing shows on TLC and Discovery. no longer that i'm that sentimental yet i assume its commencing as much as hit domicile that it is going to likely be me quickly. possibly some thing approximately those categorized commercials has a similar result on you...in spite of the fact that while you're no longer in all probability attentive to why on the time. Pampers? infant. Band-help - in many cases shows a toddler and a mom making the boo-boo all greater useful. = )

yes. everything tastes and smells different.
Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting" by Heidi Murkoff. It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

Most "strange" things concerning your eating habits are normal when you are preggers no matter how weird or off. Ask your doctor to be sure!

I knew a woman who craved laundry starch and heard of women craving things like dirt and chalk!

Your body knows what it needs and as long as you keep taking your pre-natal vitamin and find substitute proteins (to replace the lack of protein from not wanting meat) you'll be fine. Like I said before... ALWAYS ask your OBGYN.

completely. your taste buds change as well as the rest of your body so you will find that somethings you loved you now hate and things you hated you might love! it sometimes reverts back once you've had the baby so don't worry too much.
i used to love eating the kiddy refresher bars and other sugary sweets when i was pregnant but can't stand them now.

indulge but remember if you indulge too much you will pay for it later because it is not gospel that you lose all the weight gained during pregnancy once you've had the baby although you do tend to lose quite abit :(rough estimates) 7lb extra fat, protein&nutrients, 4lb extra fluid including blood, 2lb bigger breasts, 2lb increased uterus size, 7.5lb baby, 2lb amniotic fluid, and 1.5lb placenta. - that is way they say you generally gain about 2 stone during pregnancy

Yep, it's because you might have a lot of what is in steaks. What is happening prevents you from getting too much of a mineral or chemical, preventing you and your baby from harm.
