some of them make very perceptive comments and tell me things like "his soul is rotten". how could they know that unless they were real and had supernatural powers???

sorry to disappoint you but they're not real. sounds like you're suppressing your thoughts/emotions and they're coming out as 'voices'. different parts of you.
any reason for that? would you approve of those thoughts if it was 'you' thinking these things?
some of those voices are going to be very perceptive - they're yours!
consider getting some counseling, and I'm not saying that to be mean or sarcastic. if not, please please see that they are your own thoughts and learn to be more accepting of yourself.
edit: people he said he hears them IN HIS HEAD. That's not a hallucination. It's a hallucination if he hears them coming from OUTSIDE his head. Then he really needs to get to a psychiatrist or psychologist.

No. No matter how vivid, they are not real. You are having auditory hallucinations and a psychiatrist should be able to help you. I have them too. I am bipolar, but my medicines help this go away. People with schizophrenia also have auditory hallucinations.

you should see a medical doctor as soon as possible. hearing voices is not normal and may represent a symptom of serious illness.
